Architecture Term
Soil Survey
A geotechnical report establishing a plot's soil-bearing characteristics (load capacity, borehole depth, soil class) that the structural design is built on. Since Turkey's 1999 earthquakes, it has been a mandatory part of the building permit application — no structural project can be prepared without it.
