Conceptual Tool

Material Palette Builder

Choose 2-3 materials across façade, flooring, and textiles, and watch a live preview reveal the overall character your combination carries — warm, natural, modern, elegant, and more.

Select at least 2, up to 6 materials — click again to deselect.

The wood/stone/ceramic/metal tone cards are generated swatches representing a broad color-texture family, not photos from an actual product catalog.

Material Selection

How does material combination shape a project's character?

A building's first impression comes largely from the character produced together by the materials used on its façade, flooring, and interior. The same massing can take on a warm, rustic character with terracotta and natural stone, or turn modern and industrial with composite metal panel and glass.

The tool above uses general character tags pre-assigned to each material (warm, natural, modern, elegant, inviting, rustic, brutalist...) and finds the tags that recur most often among your chosen 2-3 materials to generate a simple synthesis sentence.

How the categories come together

Materials are presented in three categories: Façade & Structure (terracotta, composite metal panel, natural stone, glass façade, brick/clinker, plaster/exposed concrete), Flooring & Landscape (wood flooring, travertine flooring, landscape/lawn), and Textile & Interior (velvet, wool rug). In a real project, choosing these three layers in harmony produces a consistent spatial character.

The tool deliberately uses only textured visual renders, not flat color swatches — because what usually determines material choice is texture and surface character, not color alone.

Limitations

This is a material catalog and character-matching tool; it does not include technical details specific to a given MEEZ project (maintenance, durability, cost, application conditions). Real material selection should be assessed project by project, according to climate, budget, construction method, and site context.

During the preliminary design phase, MEEZ Mimarlık builds a material palette together with you — turning the characters you experiment with here into real material recommendations that fit your project's budget and context.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many materials should I choose?

The tool suggests choosing 2-3 materials across façade, flooring, and textiles. This number is enough to construct a meaningful synthesis sentence from the materials' general character tags, while staying limited enough that no single material dictates the whole character.

What categories are the materials presented in?

There are three categories: Façade & Structure (terracotta, composite metal panel, natural stone, glass façade, brick/clinker, plaster/exposed concrete), Flooring & Landscape (wood flooring, travertine flooring, landscape/lawn), and Textile & Interior (velvet, wool rug).

How are the character tags (warm, natural, modern...) determined?

Each material has pre-assigned general character tags (warm, natural, modern, elegant, inviting, rustic, brutalist...). The tool finds the tags that recur most often among your chosen 2-3 materials and generates a simple synthesis sentence from them.

Does this tool also give cost or durability information for materials?

No. This is a material catalog and character-matching tool; it does not include technical details such as maintenance, durability, cost, or application conditions — real material selection is assessed project by project according to climate, budget, and site context.
