How do kitchen cabinet modules fit a wall length?

Base kitchen cabinets are manufactured in a standard series of widths — 30, 40, 45, 60 and 90 cm — and a kitchen counter is built by lining these modules up side by side. This tool calculates how many modules of your chosen width fit your wall length, the total length they use, and the space left over.

The module count is found by dividing the wall length by the module width and rounding down; the leftover space is whatever remains that a full module can't fill.

What the leftover space is good for

A leftover gap under 10 cm is, in practice, close enough to a fully modular layout that no extra solution is needed. A larger gap is usually worth allocating to a built-in appliance (dishwasher, oven), an open shelf, or a custom-width drawer unit.

Your choice of module width directly affects the result — for example, a 300 cm wall fits exactly 5 modules of 60 cm with nothing left over, but only 3 modules of 90 cm, leaving a 30 cm gap.
